It was the first TEFL school in Ireland and still one of the few schools in Europe to hold both EAQUALS membership and ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. The school building is an imposing edifice from the Georgian architectural period that provides bright, spacious classrooms and superb facilities. Location:Alpha College of English is located on North Great George's Street in Dublin's city centre. Courses:General English Standard Course:The General English Standard Course at Alpha College consists of 20 hours tuition per week (including a coffee break of 20 minutes each day). Classes may be taken from 09.00 - 13.30 or from 13.30 - 17.30 each day, Monday to Friday.
General English Intensive Course:The Intensive General English Coarse at Alpha College consists of 28 hours tuition per week (including a coffee break of 20 minutes each day). The intensive format is only available to students taking the Standard General English morning classes.
General & Business English:The General Business English classes are provided in the afternoons for 8 hours per week. Only students who have a minimum level of Intermediate (CEF B1) may attend these classes. EU students may enrol for afternoon General Business classes if they wish. Non EU students wishing to take General Business English classes must also take morning classes. Students taking this course may also prepare for the TOEIC (Test of English in International Communication) examination.
